The designer

The architecture should work quietly. So do we.

Archify Designs is a boutique residential design studio in Melonba, working across NSW — led by founder Hetu Patel.

Why Archify exists

The gap was the beginning.

Archify Designs grew out of a simple observation: most families building a duplex or family home were being offered either cookie-cutter volume designs or high-end architecture priced out of reach. Archify was started to bridge that gap — thoughtful, well-resolved architectural design that is genuinely accessible to families.

The best moment in the work hasn’t changed since day one: when a client sees their daily life reflected in a plan — how they cook, gather, work, unwind — and realises the design was shaped around them, not the other way around.

The way we work

Listen first. Design second.

Most of Archify’s work arrives through referral and word-of-mouth — which teaches you that the relationship matters as much as the drawings. The approach is built on listening first, designing second, and being upfront about cost, compliance and buildability from day one.

Hetu Patel holds a Bachelor of Architecture, with more than a decade of residential work across Australia and India — duplexes, multi-dwelling developments and bespoke family homes — backed by deep working knowledge of the National Construction Code, council requirements, and the practical realities of getting homes designed, approved and built.

What guides every plan

Five principles. No exceptions.

  1. Function first — the plan must work for real daily life before anything else.
  2. Light, air & orientation — designing with the site, not against it.
  3. Restraint — fewer, better materials and details that age well.
  4. Honesty — transparent advice on budget, council requirements and buildability.
  5. Longevity — timeless design over trends, so the home still feels right in twenty years.

“Calm, comfortable and at ease — like the home simply fits you. Nothing to fight against, nothing wasted, everything where it should be.” Hetu Patel — Founder, Archify Designs
